Welcome To Meadowhawk Farm
Northwest Native Plants and Sustainable Organic Gardening Practices inspire the day-to-day life at Meadowhawk Farm, a five acre garden located in Washington State on lovely Bainbridge Island. Preserving and nurturing the native plants and natural areas in our landscape provides food and shelter for birds, butterflies, and other wildlife. Composting, natures own recycling plan, reduces our waste, improves our soil, and provides our plants with their favorite organic food for free. Integrating ideas from biointensive growing, permaculture, organic and sustainable gardening, we are producing vegetables and fruits, as well as culinary, medicinal, and tea herbs that are safe and healthy. Using conservation methods and avoiding toxic chemicals helps protect our most valuable resource...water.
We created this website to help inspire you to provide for the benefit of your environment as well as your own health and well being as you create your garden or landscape. We're developing a list of resources and links that can be accessed
through our site. You are welcome to contact us with any questions or
comments. As our harvest becomes more bountiful we may make some of what we grow available for sale. Our plants and trees are grown with care, using sustainable practices, keeping in mind how everything is connected. Having discovered immeasurable joy can be found amongst the details that abound in the garden its natural to want to share.
